A guy from Inter has outgrown the role of a player – now he’s a manager.

A guy from Milan’s Inter, Cristian Chivu, is now a manager. He has replaced Simone Inzaghi, who is now the former coach. Inzaghi left the club after the team suffered a 5:0 defeat in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. The former player has signed a two-year contract. The Romanian Chivu, who left Parma less than four months after his appointment, played as a defender for Inter for seven years, https://xrust.ru/ recalls. He was part of Jose Mourinho’s team that won the treble in 2010 before retiring as a professional player with the Serie A club in 2014. In February 2025, Chivu was given his first opportunity to lead Parma’s senior team… He guided the Emiliani to safety, and under his management, the team earned 16 points in 13 matches, Inter stated. Now Cristian Chivu is beginning the third chapter of his story with the Nerazzurri. And he’s doing so guided by values he has always adhered to: dedication, sacrifice, and relentless work ethic.

Chivu’s second chapter at Inter began in 2018 when he returned, climbed the ladder to become the youth team coach, and won a championship title in his first season at the helm. Although Chivu lacks the experience that Inzaghi brought to the role, the 44-year-old coach immediately made an impact at Parma, strengthening a defense that had been conceding too many goals: his team allowed just 13 goals compared to 27 in the previous 13 games.
