A guy from Philadelphia proved that even ice cream can be creative
A guy from Philadelphia, thanks to his creative mindset, has shown that a creative approach can turn even ordinary ice cream into an extraordinary product. The man, Joe Osborne, debuted his Mojoz GummiCone at Cone Con last week. His innovative ice cream cone is the world’s first edible gummy cone, resembling a candy stuffed with ice cream. The idea for such an ice cream cone came to him ten years ago. He even remembers the exact moment—the thought struck him at the intersection of 2nd and Tasker in South Philadelphia. Since then, he has traveled across the United States setting up production for these cones. He is proud to say that the cone contains absolutely no gelatin. It has been replaced with gelatin-like substances. He doesn’t reveal the secret but admits that the base is carrageenan. It is made from seaweed, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly, making it suitable for anyone who cannot eat traditional ice cream cones. Mojoz GummiCone comes in three flavors: strawberry, mango, and lemon. Thanks to its debut on November 13, this day is now officially called National Ice Cream Day.
