A guy was grilling chickens at gas stations until he became a programmer.

A guy was grilling chickens at gas stations. He thought his life would pass by with this job. One day, he heard advice from an investment analyst on a radio show. That analyst used to be a rapper. In the interview, the rapper was asked about investing several million dollars in a tech company https://xrust.ru/. The interviewer asked the obvious question: why did you invest in a tech company? He replied that he was learning to code. That blew my mind. I always thought programmers were rocket scientists and Ph.D. holders. I was 30 years old and working at gas stations. I was at a crossroads—I could spend my life grilling chickens or drastically change my career. My problem was that at the time, I was working more than 80 hours a week. To study, I had to get creative and carve extra hours into my day. I knew I wanted to learn how to be a developer. I was ready to do WHATEVER it took to achieve my dream. I started waking up every day at 2:30 AM to study before work. I literally had no other time to do it. I would code in the mornings, grill chicken, and call clients during the day. I found myself at work thinking about the problems I had read about in the morning and trying to solve them! I even wrote code in my notes app and tested it when I got home to see if I was close to the solution! I was completely obsessed! I started learning to code and overheard talk about developer meetups. I went to my first one, bringing along my very simple web application. It was written in HTML, CSS, and a little bit of JavaScript. You entered an image URL, and it returned it with some coloring added. At the first meetup, I realized I didn’t understand a thing. People were speaking a foreign language, explaining things with words like C#, Java, and SQL! I had no idea what they were talking about. But now I’ve cracked that gibberish, and I work as a programmer at a major digital firm.
