A man from an American TV show accused of sexual harassment
A man has accused media mogul Tyler Perry of sexual harassment. The victim is an actor from the American TV show *The Oval*. He is seeking compensation of $260 million. Derek Dixon is demanding $260 million in damages from Perry, according to Xrust. The lawsuit was filed last Friday in the Los Angeles Superior Court. The document states that Perry allegedly repeatedly sexually harassed him in the workplace. When he did not get what he wanted, he allegedly began to attack and retaliate.
The defendant’s lawyer has called the lawsuit “fraudulent.” He assured reporters that the accuser is someone who got close to Tyler Perry to do something that now seems to be nothing more than a scam. “But my client will not yield to this racket, and we are confident that these fabricated harassment allegations will fail,” the lawyer stated.
Perry is a successful actor, screenwriter, and producer of dozens of TV shows and movies, including the *Madea* film series. Forbes estimates his net worth at $1.4 billion.
The lawsuit claims that Perry met Dixon when Dixon was working as part of an event organizing team at a party hosted by Perry. Perry allegedly offered him a role in the series *Ruthless* in 2019 and later a more significant role in the series *The Oval*.
