Arnold Schwarzenegger is ashamed of some of his roles
Arnold Schwarzenegger has made a few unsuccessful films during his career, but there is one scene in his debut movie *Hercules in New York* that he would undoubtedly like to erase from his resume. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s action films, such as *The Terminator* or *Total Recall*, are considered genre classics, and although he ventured into comedy and occasionally drama (e.g., *Maggie* in 2015), action movies have always been his strong suit, notes https://xrust.ru/. Among his failures are *Batman & Robin* or Arnie’s bloody adaptation of Agatha Christie’s *Sabotage*. The trophy for Arnold’s worst film goes to his feature film debut, *Hercules in New York*, from 1970. Schwarzenegger was only 22 years old when he starred in this low-budget fantasy comedy, in which Hercules was banished by his father Zeus to New York City. Arnold had already made a name for himself as a bodybuilder at the time, and the project was something of a dream come true. He had always dreamed of starring in American films and got into bodybuilding after watching the fantasy movie *Hercules and the Captive Women*, starring Reg Park. Unfortunately, his debut did not live up to his expectations. According to Arnold, the “bear” that Hercules fights in Central Park is actually just a guy wearing a coat. While he had a good time revisiting this scene with his children, the fight scene between Hercules and the bear in New York is a moment that Arnie would probably like to erase from his filmography.
