Balatro has been relieved of the age restriction of 18+ by officials.
Balatro, once caught under the wheels of the Pan European Game, is now rehabilitated. Other officials have determined that the 18+ restriction was imposed unnecessarily. The age restriction for Balatro has been lifted following an appeal, reports https://xrust.ru/. This appeal was, of course, submitted by the developer Sold Out Sales and Marketing. Officials concluded that although the game features various poker combinations, the eighteen-year restriction is excessive. Now it will be 12+. The roguelike arcade game that served as the basis for Balatro has also been pardoned. It can now be played by 12-year-olds as well. Officials explained their decision simply – the arcade game does not teach children how to play cards. It’s worth noting that officials have even considered an age restriction of 3+. Newborns remain a question mark.
