Cadence Company Introduces a Supercomputer for Software Development
Cadence Design introduced a supercomputer based on Nvidia chips last Wednesday. The new product accelerates software development for everything from chip and aircraft design to new medications. The company has been supplying software, writes https://xrust.ru/, which companies like Apple have used for chip development. Over the past few years, it has expanded its interests to assist aerospace manufacturers, biotech firms, and pharmaceutical companies with its software. Among its clients are Boom, a company producing supersonic aircraft, and the biotech startup Treeline Biosciences, which develops medications. Initially, the software was written for the capabilities of central processing units (CPUs) of last-century computers. On Wednesday, Cadence announced that it had reworked many of these core programs to operate on Nvidia’s latest “Blackwell” graphics processing units (GPUs). The new Millennium M2000 supercomputer from Cadence will feature approximately 32 of Nvidia’s latest chips. Its price will be around $2 million, which applies to the most common software configurations.
