The company has been supplying software, writes https://xrust.ru/, used by companies like Apple for chip development. Over the past few years, Cadence has expanded its focus to include assisting aerospace manufacturers, biotech firms, and pharmaceutical companies with its software. Among its clients are Boom, a company producing supersonic aircraft, and biotech startup Treeline Biosciences, which develops medicines. Initially, Cadence’s software was designed for the capabilities of computer central processing units (CPUs) from past decades. On Wednesday, the company announced that it has reworked many of these core applications to run on Nvidia’s latest “Blackwell” graphics processing units (GPUs). Cadence’s new Millennium M2000 supercomputer will feature about 32 of Nvidia’s newest chips. Its price will be approximately $2 million, based on the most commonly used software configurations.
