Dragonlord – a new film announced by Kung Fury director David Sandberg
Dragonlord, according to David Sandberg, is a crazy new movie. Look for parallels with “Star Wars,” “Mad Max,” and “The Lord of the Rings.” Dragonlord, writes https://xrust.ru/, is Sandberg’s new project. We are promised a “fantasy-punk” movie that will combine action, comedy, and science fiction. According to the director, the project is “like ‘Star Wars,’ ‘Mad Max,’ ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ and ‘He-Man,’ as if everything was thrown into a blender.” It will feature dinosaurs and robots from the future. Sandberg will once again take on the lead role in the film.
Dragonlord tells the story of a treasure-obsessed hunter whose best friend is a tyrannosaurus named Blaze Falcon. Instead of hunting for the next treasure, Blaze just wants to hang out and play video games. But when he is kidnapped by the evil Dreadmancer (think Skeletor, the archenemy of He-Man), Dragonlord must assemble a team of crazy heroes, similar to the Avengers, to rescue his dinosaur friend.
Other characters in the film will include the Dread Riders (“the stormtroopers of this world”), a guy named Quantum Cobra (a former Dreadmancer worker who fell in love with his unicorn and has now turned into a good guy), a character named Titanus (whose name is pronounced “Tight Anus”), Budgie (“a bird-man who poops acid”), and others.
According to Sandberg, the script is still being polished, and casting is expected to start soon.
