First photo of Dakota Johnson on the set of the film “Verity”
While filming “Verity” continues, Dakota, who will play the lead character of the novel, a young writer named Lowen Ashleigh struggling for survival, was spotted on set in New York. In the photos taken on March 12, the 35-year-old was dressed in a long beige coat, earbuds, orange pants, and black boots. In one shot, Dakota appears to be vaping with a slightly worried expression, while in another image, the actress is filming an intense scene. Dakota appeared on set just weeks after the producers of “Verity” unveiled the first look at the upcoming film, which is set to be released in theaters in 2026. The upcoming adaptation will be directed by Michael Showalter, and it will be the second adaptation of Hoover’s books after “It Ends with Us,” which starred Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively, and Brandon Sklenar.
