GAMEMAX T20 – A Transparent Case with an Unconventional Layout
GAMEMAX has released the new T20 micro-ATX case with a unique approach to component placement. The design involves rotating all internal components by 90 degrees. In addition to this innovation, the side panels are made transparent. Critics have suggested that such an unconventional layout might affect cooling performance. However, the developer refuted these doubts with a statement claiming it does no harm and even referenced examples from the construction industry https://xrust.ru/. Admittedly, drawing parallels between buildings and a PC case may seem a bit of a stretch. On the other hand, the product was thoroughly tested before its launch.
The result is the inclusion of two pre-installed 120mm GAMEMAX Tornado T12-R fans inside the new case. Their arrangement takes advantage of natural airflow, allowing hot air to rise from the bottom to the top. This design helps save on additional cooling hardware. Of course, users can optionally install up to three additional 120mm fans for air-cooled systems or radiators up to 360mm for AIO setups.
The designers also highlight that the rotated layout allows GPUs to be displayed vertically without requiring PCIe risers. The T20’s unconventional design does mean stricter size limitations. Power supply units are limited to SFX and SFX-L models up to 140mm in length, though mATX motherboards (including variants with rear connectors) fit perfectly. GPU length is limited to 382mm, while air CPU coolers are restricted to a height of 160mm. You also get two drive bays for HDDs and SSDs.
Finally, the front I/O panel is relatively simple, featuring a single USB-A port (5 Gbps), a USB-C port (10 Gbps), and a headphone jack.
