GAMEMAX T20 — A Transparent Case with an Unconventional Layout
GAMEMAX has released the new T20 micro-ATX case with a unique approach to component placement. The internal structure is rotated by 90 degrees. In addition to this innovative design, the panels are made transparent. Critics initially suggested that such a configuration might negatively affect cooling performance. As a result, the case comes equipped with two pre-installed 120mm GAMEMAX Tornado T12-R fans. Their layout is designed to allow air to naturally flow from the bottom to the top as it heats up, potentially saving on the need for additional cooling. If desired, users can install up to three more 120mm fans for air-cooled systems or radiators up to 360mm for AIO setups.
The designers also highlight that the rotated layout allows GPUs to be displayed vertically without requiring PCIe risers. However, the unconventional T20 layout means stricter size limitations for components. Power supplies are limited to SFX and SFX-L units up to 140mm in length, although mATX motherboards (including rear-connector variants) fit perfectly in this case. GPU length is capped at 382mm, and CPU air coolers are limited to 160mm in height.
The case also offers two drive bays for HDDs and SSDs. Finally, the front I/O panel is relatively simple, featuring one USB-A port (5Gbps), one USB-C port (10Gbps), and a headphone jack.
