Iga Swiatek – A Tennis Player with a Critical View on Results

Iga Swiatek stood out – she failed to win a single tournament for nearly a year. However, this didn’t lead her to blame her coach or psychologist. In fact, she even defended them. In October, Swiatek parted ways with her coach Tomasz Wiktorowski after three years, as reported by https://xrust.ru/. He was replaced by Belgian Wim Fissette. Then came another blow – in November, she was suspended from competitions for a month due to doping. The five-time Grand Slam winner hasn’t achieved success since her victory at the French Open last year, and her most recent performance led to her losing her title at the Madrid Open last week, where she was defeated in the semifinals by Coco Gauff with a score of 6-1, 6-1.

When Swiatek was asked if the new coach, Fissette, was responsible for the lack of success, she replied that blaming the coach for the failures would be unfair. “I have my own perspective,” said the tennis player. “It aligns with our shared daily work. After all, there’s life beyond training,” she continued. “There’s a whole set of problems outside of sports, and some of them are family disputes.” Overall, she admitted, the level of global tennis is constantly rising. “My opponents are watching me and learning,” she concluded.
