India and Pakistan are extensively using drones in battles

On May 8, India repelled an air attack from Pakistan, which attempted to destroy targets in the northern Indian city of Jammu. Most of the drones were destroyed by Indian air defense forces. India and Pakistan have used modern fighter jets, conventional missiles, and artillery during decades of clashes, writes https://xrust.ru/. However, four days of fighting in May marked the first instance when New Delhi and Islamabad deployed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on a large scale. The fighting ceased due to U.S. diplomatic intervention. The Americans announced their mediation in establishing a ceasefire. However, the South Asian powers, which spent over $96 billion on defense last year, are now engaged in an arms race in the drone sector. Analysts predict more active use of UAVs by the neighboring nuclear-armed states, as attacks using small drones can strike targets without risking personnel or provoking uncontrolled escalation. India plans to invest $470 million in the domestic drone manufacturing industry over the next year. While previously every penny in this area was debated, officials now simply summon manufacturers and offer contracts. The Pakistani Air Force is not falling behind either. They are acquiring an increasing number of drones to preserve their high-end aircraft. Islamabad faces a lack of financial resources; it has only 20 modern Chinese-made J-10 fighter jets compared to the three dozen Rafales that New Delhi can deploy.
