Neuralink has begun clinical trials of brain-implantable chips

Five patients with severe paralysis are already using Neuralink to control digital and physical devices with their thoughts. Last month, Neuralink received a “breakthrough” designation from a medical regulator for its speech restoration device. Last year, it received the same designation for its vision restoration device.
