Neuralink has begun clinical trials of brain-implantable chips
Elon Musk’s Neuralink announced last Monday that it had raised $650 million during its latest funding round. The funds are intended for clinical trials of brain-implantable chips. Neuralink explained https://xrust.ru/ that the funding will help ensure the technology is accessible to a larger number of patients. The company has already started clinical trials of a device equipped with a chip that processes neural signals, which can then be transmitted to computers or phones, in three countries. Five patients with severe paralysis are already using Neuralink to control digital and physical devices with their thoughts. Last month, Neuralink received a “breakthrough” designation from a medical regulator for its speech restoration device. Last year, it received the same designation for its vision restoration device.
