Nokia Lumia 1020 with the internals of the iPhone SE 3

Nokia Lumia and Windows Phone are now at the core of the smartphone era. The former had vibrant cases and an iconic screen. Recently, a gadget enthusiast “transplanted” iOS into the Lumia. The Nokia Lumia 1020 is one of the few devices running on the Windows Phone operating system. The gadget was distinguished by its bright color palette and a massive 41-megapixel camera. This all echoes back to 2013. At that time, most smartphones could barely boast a 12-megapixel camera, so Nokia’s expertise in cameras during that period undoubtedly made this device quite appealing. Recently, a DIY enthusiast managed to transplant all the internals of the iPhone SE 3 into this gadget — the motherboard, cameras, display panels, Lightning port, SIM card tray, 5G antennas, speakers, and even the Taptic Engine. He managed to upgrade and fit all of this into the Lumia casing. The user even found a way to integrate the camera shutter button into the internals of the iPhone. Of course, there are some sacrifices: wireless charging does not work, and the same goes for Apple Pay; on the Lumia side, the outstanding 41-megapixel sensor is incompatible with the iPhone, while the headphone jack in the original device is now non-functional, as Apple abandoned this jack many years ago. Nevertheless, it runs on iOS 18.3.1, just like a regular iPhone SE 3, now with additional aesthetic elements.
