The women’s Nike brand featuring the Skims shapewear label will hit the shelves later than expected. Fans of the manufacturers were disappointed, as shared by a representative of the Air Jordan producer. The partnership, announced in February, is part of new CEO Hill’s plan. He aims to restore the popularity of the company’s products. One of the strategies involves expanding the product range. This move is expected to bring the company to a competitive level with On and Deckers. Skims, launched in 2019, highlights the growing demand for premium bras, loungewear, and shapewear. Nike stated that due to high expectations among stakeholders and consumers, both parties have delayed the launch to ensure the product is just right. The new line is already named NikeSKIMS. The collection will feature women’s sports footwear, apparel, and accessories. Initially, the first collection was planned to be released in select U.S. retail locations this spring, as well as on their website. A broader release was expected by 2026.
