**Toy Story 5 – Character Voice Recording Has Begun**
Toy Story 5, the studio announced last Monday, has entered the stage of voice recording for the characters. The voice cast of the new film also includes Ernie Hudson, who will voice Combat Carl, a character previously voiced by the late Carl Weathers. “Toy Story 4” was released in 2019, grossing over $1 billion worldwide and winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
In an interview with Collider late last year, Allen hinted that the new movie has a “very, very, very clever story.” He added, “If they hadn’t come up with a brilliant script, they wouldn’t have done it or brought me and Tom [Hanks] back. It’s really smart.”
Pixar is thriving after the massive success of “Inside Out 2,” which became the highest-grossing film of 2024. The company’s next movie, “Elio,” which also explores space themes, is set for release on June 20.
